Keep calm and game on
we are not makers of history, we are made by history

Xiphos Esports, formerly known as Death Company [DC], was founded back in 2005 as a DOTA clan by four friends who shared the same interests. As the first-ever Sri Lankan Esports clan, Death Company played a crucial role in setting up Gamer.LK, Sri Lanka’s gaming and Esports community. Over the years, Death Company became a household name in the local gaming circuit, with its reputation for casual gaming and a few competitive teams who helped newer members improve their skills.
By mid-2007, DC started to take part in competitive gaming and has been participating in almost every local tournament held in the local gaming circuit, winning several titles along the way until the recent SLCG ’13. In addition, the clan hosted the L-series LAN parties, which were one of the largest LAN parties in Sri Lanka, for seven consecutive years.
In 2013, the former members of DC, along with a new administration, rebranded Death Company into Xiphos Esports, a clan dedicated to providing its existing members with a unique gaming experience, guidance, and support to achieve greatness. The clan also offers newcomers the chance to be mentored by seasoned veterans to experience pro-level gaming.
As a clan that played a crucial role in the inception of Gamer.LK, Xiphos Esports has continued to work with them closely throughout the years and supported them in every aspect possible. As the biggest name in Sri Lanka’s Esports scene, Xiphos Esports has produced many Call of Duty 4, Counter-Strike 1.6, and DOTA players who have represented the clan locally as well as our country internationally. Xiphos Esports is dedicated to maintaining its consistency in performance, acquiring young talent and taking Sri Lankan Esports to a higher competitive level.

LAN PARTY - L Series
Xiphos Esports is the trailblazer of large-scale LAN parties in Sri Lanka, providing gamers from all over the country with an unforgettable 36-hour gaming experience. Our L Series LAN parties have been a huge success over the years, with seven successful events under our belt. This overnight event is the perfect opportunity for gamers to socialize and connect with like-minded individuals in a relaxed environment. Unlike traditional tournaments, our LAN parties allow gamers to showcase their lively personalities and build lasting relationships. With plans to host our eighth L Series event in the upcoming years, we aim to cater to over 100 participants and continue to elevate the gaming experience in Sri Lanka.
Xiphos Esports, in collaboration with Redline Technologies, joined hands with Sri Lanka Telecom in 2015 to organize the first-ever SLT Esports Championship. With our expertise and knowledge, we ensured the event was planned seamlessly and executed to perfection, making it a resounding success. The event set new standards in the Sri Lankan Esports industry, with never-before-awarded cash prizes that brought the global gaming event standards to the country. The SLT Esports Championship raised the bar for all future Esports events in Sri Lanka, and its impact can still be felt in the major events of the Sri Lankan Esports calendar. As a leading player in the industry, Xiphos Esports is proud to have contributed to the growth and development of the Sri Lankan Esports scene.
